Food Pantry

  • 1. How do I qualify to receive services from Serve the People Food Pantry, Community Health Center and Free Legal Aid?
  • A. The services and programs at Serve the People are available to anyone in need.

  • 2. Where is the Food Pantry located?
  • A. The Food Pantry is located at 1206 East 17th Street, Santa Ana, CA 92701 every first and third saturday of each month.

  • 3. What kind of items are given out at the Food Pantry?
  • A. Free grocery bags of food, fresh fruit and vegetables when available, baby food, clothing, shoes, diapers, feminine hygeine products, educational supplies, toiletries and other household products when avaiable.

  • 4. Do I need to bring anything?
  • A. One form of identification verifying an address for the recipient. The reason for this is, Serve the People, Inc. is a non-profit company. We often need to report to different government agencies for support.

  • 5. How many times may I receive from the Food Pantry?
  • A. Once per event.



Community Health Center

  • 6. Where is the Community Health Center located?
  • A. The Community Health Center is located at 1206 East 17th Street, Suite 101, Santa Ana CA 92701.

  • 7. Is the Community Health Center free?
  • A. The Community Health Center is not considered a "free clinic". We offer a variety of procedures and services for a visit fee of $15. Depending on your diagnosis, other costs may apply, such as a $4 prescription. If these fees are not affordable by you or your family, please ask to speak with the manager.

  • 8. When is the Community Health Center open?
  • A. The Community Health Center is open Tuesday through Saturday of every week from 8:30AM to 3:30PM. Appointments are recommended and walk-ins are accepted (although, you may encounter a longer wait time).

  • 9. Do I need to bring anything to the Community Health Center?
  • A. Any prescriptions you have and any medical records available.

  • 10. Where can I get prescriptions filled?
  • A. Prescriptions may be filled at local pharmacies in the Santa Ana area, such as Target, Wal-Mart, and Stater Brothers for as low as $4 per prescription.



Free Legal Aid

  • 11. Where is Free Legal Aid located?
  • A. The Free Legal Aid is also located at 1206 East 17th Street, Suite 101, Santa Ana CA 92701

  • 12. What types of services are available at the Free Legal Aid?
  • A. The Free Legal Aid provides free consultation with an attorney in various fields of law. Our voluntter staff and attorneys provide attorney consultation, education, referral to social resources, self-help services, counseling, guidance, foreclosure assistance, loan modifcations and other attorney referrals if needed.

  • 13. When is the Free Legal Aid open?
  • A. The Free Legal Aid is open every 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 8:30AM to 12:30PM. No appointments are necessary. Consultations are on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • 14. When was Serve the People, Inc. founded?
  • A. Serve the People, Inc. was founded in early 2008. It was incorporated as a 501(c)3 non-profit charity on June 9, 2009.
